DJ & Producer | Techno (Raw Hypnotic)
After watching the 1994 Berlin Love Parade LIVE on German TV for the first time, a teenage Ramón Erasmus was hooked on electronic music and was able to develop his DJ skills at his local youth centre, where he started playing Vinyl and was soon able to showcase his talent at several private underground events and as a resident DJ at Treibhaus (Meilenhofen/DE) under the moniker Ramón Cadena. His association with the Teknosushi label (under Prison Recordings) began in 2001 as resident at the notorious Club Cyber (Oberhaindlfing/DE), where he also became a label DJ and studio assistant.
As a Teknosushi label DJ, he found himself being booked by numerous Clubs in Germany, such as the now defunct yet infamous and internationally acclaimed Alcatraz & Prison Club (Landau a.d. Isar) and showcasing his talent at various Techno festivals and events in Germany, Austria, Argentina, Romania, Russia and South Africa.
Since the 1994 Berlin Love Parade laid the cornerstone to his DJ career, his biggest and most memorable DJ gig was the Berlin Love Parade 2002 and 2003, where he had the honour to play on the Teknosushi Lovefloat in front of nearly 1 million ravers from around the world. Unfortunately, 2006 saw the end of the Teknosushi residency at Club Cyber and a few years later, ultimately also the end of the Teknosushi label, bringing about a new phase in Ramón’s career as he created the PadMode moniker.
After years of solely DJing, he then decided to learn to produce his own music, which landed him his first remixes on the Munich based label City Of Drums. In early 2018 he started his current project called ‚Lesser Light‘ which focuses on the deeper, and more raw side of Techno with hypnotic rhythms and murky textures, which has landed him releases on the Munich based label City of Drums
and the South African label Black Robin with many more to follow…
