Biographie:
Shizo van de Sunflower aka Daniel Blum startete seine musikalischen Erfahrungen bereits in den 80ern mit C64 und Tracker Software. Als DeForm2 konnte er zusammen mit Kess Davidson in den 90ern erste Erfolge im Techno und Acid Sektor verbuchen. Als Künstler der ersten Stunde kam er 2006 zu City of Drums.
Seine Liebe zur elektronischen Musik ließ ihn nicht nur auf einem Stil reiten. So hatte er Auftritte zuerst bei privaten Parties, später organisierte er Parties mit, spielte in Thüringen aber auch in Dresden und München. An zahlreichen Remix Contests konnte er Erfahrungen auch in anderen Stilrichtungen sammeln u.a. Darkwave, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Industrial und Ambient. Das spiegelt sich auch in seinem heutigen Stil wieder und kommt seiner Arbeit als DJ und Medienproduzent zugute.
Viele seiner Musikproduktionen sind unter Creative Commons Lizenz auf jamendo.com auch als Takahashi Fujikato veröffentlicht worden.
Seine ersten Werke für „City of Drums“ waren unter anderem ein Remix von The Electronic Advance- Minimal is Maximal welcher auch auf der Kompilation SUNSHINE MINIMAL MUSIC erschien. Seine Werke und Remixe sind inzwischen auf verschiedenen Compilations enthalten.
Zwischen 2004 – 2008 produzierte er das Underground Webradio „Radio – Suborbital“ welches zuvor nur als monatliche Spartensendung auf dem Offenen Kanal Jena zu hören war.
Shizo van de Sunflower aka Daniel Blum started his musical experience in the 80s with C64 and Tracker Software. As DeForm2 he was able to record together with Kess Davidson in the 90s first successes in the techno and acid sector. As an artist from the very beginning, he joined City of Drums in 2006.
His love of electronic music didn’t just make him ride on one style. So he had appearances first at private parties, later he organized parties, played in Thuringia but also in Dresden and Munich. At numerous remix contests he was able to gain experience in other styles, including darkwave, rock, pop, jazz, industrial and ambient. This is also reflected in his current style and benefits his work as a DJ and media producer.
Many of his music productions have been released under Creative Commons license on jamendo.com also as Takahashi Fujikato.
His first works for „City of Drums“ included a remix of The Electronic Advance- Minimal is Maximal which also appeared on the compilation SUNSHINE MINIMAL MUSIC. His works and remixes are now included on various compilations.
