Sebastian Recklebe, also known as Restless, affectionately nicknamed „Rocky“ by his friends (derived from his alter ego „Basti Rocklebe“), has been drawn to electronic music since the mid-90s. Particularly, he was captivated by raw and relentless Tekkno during that time. After years of collecting and trading self-recorded or obtained tapes, he made the decision to invest his first journeyman’s salary in turntables and a mixer. Thus began the year 2000, a period in which he, alongside his work in Wolfsburg, primarily engaged in buying and „stringing together“ vinyl records.
Initially, he stylistically focused on a sound that could be most closely compared to the musical output of artists such as Rush, Marco Remus, Chris Liebing, Wolle XDP, Tanith, and similar figures of that era. However, in 2003, he became aware of the MINUS crew, who at that time, through their reinterpretation and further development of Minimal Techno, thrilled a large audience of electronic music enthusiasts with their output. Sebastian and his friends were among these enthusiasts. This distinctive sound quickly infected their circle of friends, initiating a joint and intensive „research exploration“ of this genre. Jointly, because Machdeburg once again became Sebastian’s chosen home. This not only pleased family and friends but also increasingly delighted the Magdeburg audience at the „Diamant Brauerei“. There, Mr. Recklebe often kicked off the evening, which quickly led to him becoming a resident DJ, where he played and further developed his sound. Over time, he also performed at dance events outside of Magdeburg, such as smaller clubs in Hannover, Hamburg, or even in the then still-existing sandstone caves of Halberstadt. He draws from various genres and blends them into a mix dominated by melodic textures and vocals.
